Volunteers play an important and invaluable role here at Holly Lodge Community Centre. We regularly need new volunteers because some move on to regular employment, or studies – which is fantastic, and always makes us proud.
Being a volunteer is not just about giving up a few hours of your time to help others. It offers:
• a chance to learn new skills, enhancing both your CV and your wellbeing
• a good way to get into a work routine if you’ve been unemployed
• a way of building confidence
• a chance to do something worthwhile and make new friends
Once we resume normal service, we will have a great variety of volunteer roles with our lunch clubs, Friday films, and other opportunities!
Please be aware that you may be asked to undergo a disclosure (DBS) check if your role comes into contact with children and/or vulnerable adults.
We provide:
Travel and lunch expenses – Volunteers get lunch expenses (if volunteering for a full day) and travel expenses paid while giving their time here.
References – If you volunteer for three months, we can provide you with a reference on request.
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email: hollylodge.manager@gmail.com
If you prefer, give us a call on 0208 342 9524, or pop into the centre for more information.
We know that taking that first step can be difficult, but you will find a warm welcome here at Holly Lodge Community Centre, and we will always try to find a role that will suit you.
