Contact Anjana about ‘Mini Mindful Musician sessions at Holly Lodge on Friday mornings

It’s Friday morning fun during term times at Holly Lodge Community Centre! Specialising in movement and mindfulness, they take a different approach to introducing children to music. Children, accompanied by a parent, get to experience their environment and themselves mindfully and at their own pace. Contact minimindfulmusicians@gmail.com for more information, or to book.

Our repurposed food donation bin, outside the main entrance of Holly Lodge Community Centre

Since March 2020, your Community Centre has been directing its efforts into supporting the vulnerable on Holly Lodge Estate. We work closely with Holly Lodge Residents Association (HLRA), Holly Lodge Estate (HLE) and Highgate Newtown Community Centre (HNCC).

Please donate to our charitable work on our Virgin Moneygiving page.

Among the help our Covid-19 volunteers have provided is: collecting prescriptions, sourcing items of furniture for people who are isolated / shielding, picking up shopping, pet walks, and providing a listening ear at what can be an exceptionally lonely time.

We are a food hub for HNCC’s food parcel service, which provides fresh fruit and veg and other essentials to families and individuals facing hardship on our Estate. Our Block Reps and Street Supporters are ordering and home-delivering these vital, nutritious food parcels. HNCC also provides a meals-on-wheels service.

To access these services, call 07435 806240 or 07951 821177.

The Community Centre is also the central donation point for non-perishable food and other essential items (dried food, tins, hand sanitisers, loo rolls etc.) These are delivered to HNCC’s food bank and made up into the food parcels distributed to Holly Lodge Estate and the wider Highgate area. The bright yellow bin is outside the Community Centre, at 30 Makepeace Avenue, Highgate, London N6 6HL.
