Run by the community, for the community

Holly Lodge Community Centre (HLCC) offers a wide range of activities in a friendly, relaxed environment. We also offer our hall for hire.

Holly Lodge Community Centre is now certified as being Covid-secure. This means that we comply with Government guidance on managing the risk of coronavirus.

As a result, we will reopen for bookings when the current England-wide lockdown ends (scheduled for Thursday 3rd December). A huge thank you goes to all the local volunteers, residents, and donors who continue to support us, as well as each other, through these uniquely challenging times.

Holly Lodge Community Centre is a central donation point for non-perishable food and other essential items (toiletries, hand sanitisers, loo rolls etc.)

These are delivered to Highgate Newtown’s food bank and made up into the food parcels distributed to Holly Lodge Estate and the wider Highgate area. The bright yellow bin is outside the Centre, at 30 Makepeace Avenue N6 6HL.

Our income from lunch clubs, music and art lessons, fitness classes and more is now zero. When this crisis is over, we will need to re-establish the services so valued by our community. Join us in helping Holly Lodge Community Centre!

Please donate on our Virgin Moneygiving page.

Every block of flats (including the sheltered housing properties) and street on Holly Lodge Estate has at least one designated volunteer (a ‘Block Rep’ or ‘Street Supporter’) to check on and help vulnerable residents. This could be with their shopping, prescriptions, or by providing a listening ear.

Holly Lodge Community Centre acts as a hub for these volunteers, providing them with the support and resources they need to help others.
